Fabric made in Kyoto, coarsely and tightly woven from high-durability 100% nylon yarn.
Highly resistant to abrasion, enhancing long-term durability.
The footbed features a reddish brown reminiscent of hojicha roasted tea, paired with an all-black sole unified in deep black.
The result is a model that feels modern, yet subtly rooted in Japanese sensibility.
The midsole is constructed from PU material, calibrated to an optimal firmness.
An integrated air sole reduces impact with every step.
Inside the footbed, high-rebound urethane cushioning is also embedded, delivering a cushioned feel across the entire sole for lasting comfort.
A pair that merges the lightness of setta with the functionality of sneakers.
“ unda ”
Japanese design firm goyemon has reinterpreted the traditional woven bamboo sandal, the “Setta“, and introduced modern technology to make them more comfortable to wear.
Invented in the 16th century, the setta is meant to be worn under poor weather conditions. Attached to the sole of the traditional footwear is a layer of leather which helps to keep the feet away from puddles and snow. Dubbed “Unda,” the modernized version features cushioned footbeds and midsole bubble units serving to buffer the strain from walking while logo-appliqued tags detail the heels.
