A new model from the TOUGH series, now equipped with a full-length air unit.
The air unit, running seamlessly from toe to heel, brings a more innovative feel to every step.
This release includes four variations: the standard model (BLACK / SUMI), featuring traditional velour thong straps, and the PADDED model (BLACK / SUMI), designed with voluminous straps that gently wrap the foot.
The PADDED model uses a smooth polyester fabric to reduce pressure on the foot, delivering a soft, enveloping fit and a lightweight, comfortable feel.
All four models feature a footbed made from Kyoto-produced fabric woven with nylon threads, offering excellent resistance to abrasion and enhanced durability.
Traditional textures meet modern technology through the full-length air unit.
This contrast defines its distinctive hybrid presence.
“ unda ”
Japanese design firm goyemon has reinterpreted the traditional woven bamboo sandal, the “Setta“, and introduced modern technology to make them more comfortable to wear.
Invented in the 16th century, the setta is meant to be worn under poor weather conditions. Attached to the sole of the traditional footwear is a layer of leather which helps to keep the feet away from puddles and snow. Dubbed “Unda,” the modernized version features cushioned footbeds and midsole bubble units serving to buffer the strain from walking while logo-appliqued tags detail the heels.
